Miss Bobbi Schweighardt
(She/Her/Hers)
Prior to beginning my masters in Counselling Psychology, I hold a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care. I have over ten years of extensive experience working with children, teens, and their families in treatment, group care, family work, and community based care. Through this field, I have been privy to witnessing the incredible resilience of those healing from trauma, and know that profound change and growth is possible with meaningful support from strong relationships.
My therapeutic approach is warm, relational, trauma-informed, person-centered and holistic. So far in my practice, I integrate elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT), existentialism and spirituality to treat a range of challenges that individuals may go through. In addition to my schooling, I am a Level 2 Usui Reiki practitioner and see the benefits of integrating both western and eastern wisdom in treatment. Through these modalities, I am prepared to work with teens and adults to create healthier attachment and stronger relationships, navigate life transitions, heal trauma, and manage anxiety, stress and depression.
Together, we can collaborate on tangible ways to improve self-awareness, self-esteem, find healthier ways of coping, and prepare for life’s stressors as they come.

As a master’s student in Counselling Psychology completing my practicum training, I am dedicated to supporting individuals as they explore their experiences and discover new ways of navigating life. I take a collaborative, strength-based approach, viewing clients as experts in their own life. I am committed to inclusive mental health care that honours each person’s unique identity and story, and I strive to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I value a holistic perspective that recognizes the connection between mind and body, and how our emotions, relationships, and lived experiences shape overall well-being.
My background in community rehabilitation and Disability Studies, along with almost 10 years of experience working with diverse individuals and families, has shaped my dedication to trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice, and deepened my respect for the many ways people think, feel, and move through the world. My training has prepared me for a broad range of concerns, including stress, regulation, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationships, and personal growth.
My work draws from approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), person-centred therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to offer compassionate, flexible support that fosters resilience and meaningful change. I currently offer counselling sessions in English only.
